Clatskanie Chess Club is located in NW Oregon.  They put on a wide range of tournaments from regular to blitz and bughouse tournaments.  They are well organized and planned.  It's more than worth the drive.

Chess Games has a large selection of games.  They also have an interesting program that lets you check out what opening moves are the most popular. 
They have the history of thousands of players.

Chess For Success is an organization that puts on the K-12 grade championship for Oregon.  They facilitate schools starting thier own chess clubs.
 
Chess Odyssey

Chess Odyssey provides a full range of chess opportunities including over 10 camps annually, tournaments, school programs and a team of private coaches.  Their website was rated one of the best new chess websites on the internet.

Free Internet Chess Server
Free Internet Chess Server is just like the name says... it's free.  Even though it is free it still has more then then most servers.  It is good for people who like to play chess online.  It does do some tournaments and it covers major events.
 
Internet Chess Club
Internet Chess Club is a site to play chess on the internet.  They have thousands of players on each day. Some of them are Grand Masters and International Masters.  They have puzzles and the results of major tournaments.  They put on live tournaments every hour.  An annual fee is charged for membership.
 
Internet Chess Radio
Internet Chess Radio is a place where you can listen to a chess related radio station on the Internet.  They have lectures and video presentations. 
 
NW Chess
NW Chess contains current chess news for the Northwest.  It lists upcoming scholastic and open tournaments.
 
Portland Chess Club
The Portland Chess Club puts on tournaments, has weekley meetings for younger children, and mini blitz tournaments.
 
United States Chess Federation
The United States Chess Federation does the ratings and national tournaments. 
 
University of Pittsburgh Chess Club
The University of Pittsburgh Chess Club has a large selection of games.  They have an extensive list of openings and endgames in their data base.
